Kazakhstan’s Banking Sector Continues to be the Most Successful Among the Developing Countries in Central Asia.
In 2023, the Senteo Customer Experience Index firmly consolidated its presence in Central Asia after four quarters of researching banks in Almaty, the economic capital of Kazakhstan. By the last quarter of 2023, we examined 154 branches across 16 retail banks, revealing a slight increase in the average rating from 2.89 in Q1 2023 to 3.23.
By comparison, these results indicate a consolidation of Kazakhstan’s banking sector in the Central Asia region, though it persists in predominantly operating under a product-centric approach. It’s noteworthy that 3.00 indicates the critical threshold between product-centric and customer-centric organizations.
