Michael Ruckman and Shannon Quilty were honored to be invited to participate in Middle East Council of Shopping Centers + Retail first Learning & Development School for Retail Real Estate Professionals this June in Dubai. Held at the elegant Kempinski Mall of the Emirates, the four-day event was attended by approximately 90 retail real estate professionals of all different levels from across the GCC.

Michael gave a well-received keynote expounding on the benefits of moving from a customer-centric approach to one that is based in relationship fundamentals.  In the spirit of LEARN, SEE, DO, EXTEND, the keynote was followed by mystery shopping at Mall of the Emirates, vibrant discussion of what the students discovered and guidance on how the concepts learned can be immediately put to use.

Shannon presented the Level 1 students with leasing case studies reflecting a variety of issues which arise before, during and after the leasing effort emphasizing the benefits of consistent and effective dialogue. Additionally, she facilitated the final student project wherein they presented the culmination of their work determining How to Bring Mall of Emirates into 2020 with $0 Budget.  The ideas were creative and many and she was thrilled to be asked to award the best project.

Congratulations to the students and to the team at MECS+R for a terrific program.  Senteo are looking forward to participating again in 2020!
